Intent on taking up the challenge of change and development by revolutionising technologies used in the pool industry, four visionaries set up a partnership in 1997 and embarked on the route of research, design and development to bring innovative products to the South African and International markets.

Pooling their expert knowledge, the engineers in this enterprise work hands-on to produce effective solutions.

In the constant endeavor to maintain high standards and develop products of superior quality, APMI associates only with the finest industrial designers and precision engineers.

Gustav Lutz - Managing Director

Gustav obtained a B-Eng. (Electrical) degree at RAU in 1991 and is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of SA.

Gustav was employed as Senior Engineer (Manager) at Spoornet where he gained significant experience in project management, technical investigations in both the electronic and electrical fields, networking and asset management. He resigned from Spoornet in February 1999 to concentrate fully on the management of APMI.

Maynard La Cock - Executive Director

Maynard was awarded a National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering by the Cape Technicon in 1988.

He was subsequently appointed Senior Engineering Technician responsible for technical investigations and project management at Spoornet.

During his term of employment period there, Maynard gained experience in personnel management, networking, project planning and asset management.

At APMI and PoolCop (Pty) Ltd, he is responsible for system development, production and heads the technical department.

Andre Reyneke

Andre started his career at IBM South Africa in 1982. During his 10-year involvement with IBM, Andre’s leadership skills were recognised by several awards for top achievement.

Having gained several more years’ experience in the IT industry at executive level, Andre is currently actively involved in the establishment of entrepreneurial business ventures and the expansion of existing young companies. With a vision for the potential success of innovative enterprise, Andre’s investments span a wide spectrum of industries.

Andre is also instrumental in negotiating international distributorship of POOLCOP.
